I spoke with my dad today, so I'm breathing a huge sigh of relief. He is still without power and therefore A/C but FEMA is in the area and he has ice, water and food. The utility trucks are in his county so power should be restored within the next couple of days. He knows he is among the fortunate and didn't have one complaint to voice.

without electricity im curious if he has any sense of the severity of the harder hit areas.
im confused by when the governor of louisiana scolds the looters and tells them theyre being bad. are they actually receiving the message without electricity? what am i not getting here?

What a sigh of relief indeed, J. The immensity of this catastrophe is yet to be known, I fear, but news of family and friends who've made it throgh the worst part of it is great to hear.

It's amazing the amount of damage caused.

I'm happy to hear that your dad made it through unscathed.

I am happy to read that your Father is doing well. Sounds like he survived well enough, with health in check. Good luck and best wishes to him.
