Sun Shadows

It's raining here this afternoon and I love that. Not only are we, like so many areas in the country, in need of rain, it just makes for a nice afternoon. It makes me glad for the sunshiny day we had a couple days ago when I was able to put my laundry on the line to dry. Sheets dried in the fresh air are the best.

I envy your rain..
I just caught up reading your blog and you have much sadness lately. I am so sorry about your sister, and perhpas she is in the rain today that is making thrings grow - of course she is! and your chickens...well, one must put themselves at the end of the herd or pack on the farm. And there are limits. So you defined some important limits for yourself. It is okay to be sad, even if they are 'just chickens" Someday I'll tell you about the moth I nursed fr 2 days as it died...Letting go is always hard - mixed motives to sort through, etc...

Tried to leave a post earlier on your sad entry about the chickens :( i totally understand as well-- i was (and still am a little) worried about neighbor comments... sometimes our eyes/hearts are a little too big for our britches! The rain is lovely-- I love any reason to sit inside and read a book!
